Hat Pattern: The District Beanie

Knitting Pattern for a basic beanie with a folded brim.

Supplies Used:

• 1 skein of Bulky Yarn (Pictured: Amber Waves Bulky Merino in “Sandy”)
• US Size 11 16” Knitting Needles
• 5 Stitch Markers
• Darning Needle for weaving ends

Skills/Techniques:

• CO-Cast On (Long Tail)
• Join in the round
• K- Knit
• P- Purl
• PM- Place Marker
• SM- Slip Marker
• BOR- Beginning of Round
• K2tog – Knit 2 stitches together

Fit/Gauge:

One size fits most. This pattern has quite a bit of stretch and gauge is not critical for this pattern. This hat will do best when knit with a yarn that has a good bit of “spring” to it (i.e. Merino, BFL, etc.).
