Silk Care Instructions

For best results, we recommend hand-washing in cold water & our Amber Waves silk wash. (Most commercially available detergents contain enzymes and optic brighteners which can damage silk). Do not use hot water and do not agitate, wring, or put in the dryer. It is normal to see a small amount of color release when washing. Rinse well.

If you machine wash your silk, be sure to place your silk in a mesh laundry bag and wash on a cold, delicate cycle.

After washing and while still damp, press with an iron on medium heat (or use the silk setting) to smooth and release wrinkles. If you hang or lay flat to dry, you will notice your silk is not as smooth. This is because the silk fibers simply need to relax. If you do not wish to iron your silk, simply use it as normal and it will smooth and relax with use.
